Left Behind explores the impact of economic decline through abandoned spaces, highlighting places once full of life that have been left to deteriorate and be forgotten.
In 2022, 405 businesses in Lisburn and Castlereagh ceased trading. These buildings, once filled with life and activity, have since been left to deteriorate, with the memories created within them slowly fading. This project explores these neglected spaces, drawing attention to the lasting impact of economic decline and the environments that continue to be overlooked.
